The online launch is the first step in a new venture by Geys – a developer by trade and art enthusiast with more than 30 years of experience collecting modern and contemporary art pieces. Luxury Gated Community To Be Built near Heathrow Luxury Gated Community To Be Built near Heathrow Heathrow, Fla. – Heathrow-based developer Wescar recently announced plans to develop Deer Lakes, a $12-million gated community in the Heathrow area. The 40-acre proposed development will have 25 single-family home lots. Located near Markham Woods Rd. on SR 46, the community will offer 1-acre lots ranging from $400,000 to more than $700,000. Homes will start at $1 million. Wescar plans to break ground this summer. “This is one of the last remaining parcels of land in the Heathrow/Markham Woods Rd. corridor that is available for a gated luxury community,” said Wesley Geys, vice president of Wescar. “Seminole County is running out of land to develop for single-family homes.” Predominately surrounded by the Wekiva Preserves, Deer Lakes will feature several small lakes throughout the community. “The natural beauty of this location is a strong selling point,” said Geys. “In preparing the site for construction, we have been careful to keep as many of the existing trees as possible so that the community will remain in harmony with the environment.” Wescar is currently arranging a preferred builder program at Deer Lakes, which will feature five to seven designated home builders for residents to choose from.
